Jay’s Deli has been a Greensboro staple since before the 1950’s. We started in the 600 block of North Elm Street. Then in 1956 Jay’s Deli opened a second location in the then-new Friendly Shopping Center, and we moved to our current location in Friendly Shopping Center in 1997. We are one of the oldest tenants in Friendly Center. The Newsome Family has owned and operated Jay’s since 1988. We pride ourselves on being fresh, delicious, and affordable. We get our bread from a local baker 5 days a week, our produced delivered from a local company 6 days a week, our burgers are ground fresh here in Greensboro. If you can’t tell we try and keep things local. We hope our guest appreciate us like we appreciate them.
